Paddimantram
on Swami Vivekananda

Birth Day Celebration)
To commemorate the 157th Birth
Day of Swami Vivekananda, the department has organized a Paddimantram on Swami
Vivekananda. The title of the Paddimantram was Swami Vivekananda as a
philosopher or a Sanyasi.
The Paddimantram was presided
over by the principal who stressed the significant role of Swami Vivekananda to
the youth. Dr. A.Periyanayagam Jeyaraj the Vice- Principal felicitated on the
occasion. Prof. R.Thomas, the head of the department welcomed the guests and
the participation.
In the Paddimantram the students
were grouped into the supporters of swami Vivekananda as a philosopher and as a
Sanyasi. Mr. Sunaisekar of III
B.A History leaded the team of Sanyasi. He was
assisted by Mr.Raja of I B.A History
Miss. Seetha headed the team of Philosopher
and she was assisted of Miss. Muthu Eswari of II B.A History and Miss. Poongodi
of I B.A. History.
Miss. J.Sumathi of II M.A. History
acted as Judge. In her judgments, she clearly pointed out the role of Swami
Vivekananda as a Philosoper and also as a Sanyasi. It identified the essence of
the multi- dimensional activities of a personality in achieving his aims and
objection.
The Paddimantram was attended by all the
students and staff members of the department. It was really a celebration of
Youth Day and it made the students to think our yeomen services of Swami
Vivekananda to the society.

Koras, Dr .M.Sathiya Bama, Mr.E.Walsa, Mrs . Bercia, Dr. Raichel C.Raj and
Dr.Chandra took part actively in organizing the Paddimantram
